“3 amazing artists. One intimate setting.”
BIOGRAPHY
Dubbed "a genius on the guitar" by the Los Angeles Times, Blake Aaron launched his career as an L.A. studio musician and sideman and has recorded and/ or performed with an incredible array of jazz, pop and R&B artists. Aaron draws on a lifetime of diverse musical influences to create a masterful fusion of jazz, R&B, soul, rock, blues and Latin sounds. Heading full-throttle into his second decade as a recording artist and his seventh year as host of the popular syndicated "Blake Aaron Live w Tina Anderson," the multifaceted guitarist, composer, producer and media personality has released his highly anticipated 4th full length CD, Soul Stories, which has already scored several Top Five Billboard airplay hits.
Joey Sommerville has a unique style of new millennium jazz, with funk, gospel and bop influences delivered with infectious pop sensibilities. He was a featured soloist on the Cirque du Soleil’s Grammy nominated and Juno Award winning album, Alegria. His latest album, the ironically titled Overnight Sensation has received excellent reviews including a ringing endorsement from USA Today. The album continues to ride the top of the jazz radio charts.
With a career now in its 3rd decade, saxophonist Warren Hill's solo CD's and collaborations have topped 3 different charts: Pop, AC and Smooth Jazz, selling over a million copies worldwide and garnering multiple awards. Hill’s newest CD, Under the Influence, is a collection of classic rock covers from the '70's featuring hits from iconic bands such as Aerosmith, Queen, and The Police. Hill applied his dynamic style of sax to songs that influenced his musical upbringing, particularly targeting the songs from his teenage rock band. This is your chance to see these three amazing artists in the intimate setting of the King Center’s Studio Theatre.
