ABOUT:
Four80East is a Toronto-based electro-jazz duo that’s all about the groove. Drawing from their diverse musical influences, Rob DeBoer and Tony Grace have created a signature sound that combines electronic production with live instrumentation.
Since breaking out with their highly successful debut “The Album” in 1997, Four80East has been a mainstay on contemporary jazz radio, with ten studio albums and a two live albums to their credit. They have scored several top-ten Billboard hits, including their most recent #1 in 2019 with Cinco Cinco Seis.
Jeff Kashiwa is a saxophonist from Seattle who gained recognition as "one of the most compelling young saxophonists in contemporary jazz" during his initial year with The Rippingtons starting in 1989. He performed extensively worldwide and contributed to numerous band recordings.
Following a ten-year period with The Rippingtons, Kashiwa pursued independent musical projects. In 2004, he established The Sax Pack, a trio featuring himself, Steve Cole, and Kim Waters that released three albums and toured internationally with entertainment-focused performances.
Kashiwa reunited with The Rippingtons for their 20th Anniversary Tour in 2006, continuing collaboration through 2016.
His eleventh solo album, titled "Sunrise," features his ensemble Coastal Access alongside guest artists Marc Antoine, Tom Schuman, and Phillipe Saisse. His latest release, "Luminoso" (2024), is a collaborative masterpiece with Jeff Volkman inspired by the compositions of Joyce Moreno.
He currently serves as Instrumental Ensemble instructor, Music Technology educator, and Department Chair at Shoreline Community College, where he has been teaching for over twelve years.
Guitarist JJ Sansaverino has released six highly acclaimed albums, more than 50 touring dates per year, a #1 Billboard single, and multiple charting hits, New York guitarist JJ Sansaverino has spent the past thirty-five years reaching millions of fans around the world with his signature “Benson meets Santana” musical style.
